Build with the Formbot API

Use the published API reference as the source for endpoints and request formats.

Open this guide in the help center →

When to use this. Your application needs to create or read Formbot resources automatically.

What you’ll need. A server-side integration environment and authorized account access.

  1. Open the API reference

Visit platform.formbot.com/api/documentation. Find the operation for the resource you need, such as forms, submissions, documents, or accounts.

  2. Configure authentication

Follow the authentication method documented for the operation. Keep access tokens on the server and out of public pages, repositories, and shared screenshots.

  3. Confirm the account and operation

Ensure requests act on the intended account and that the authenticated identity has the required access. Review the documented parameters rather than guessing endpoint names.

  4. Test and handle failures

Start with a read or a disposable sample resource. Handle validation errors, authentication expiry, and rate limits, and avoid duplicating a send or create operation when retrying.

How to know it worked

A documented API operation succeeds against the intended account.
