When to use this. Filled values look out of place against the rest of the document.

What you’ll need. A document with fields placed on it.

  1. Open the document's Settings tab

Open the document in the editor and choose Settings. These choices apply to the values Formbot draws onto the page, not to the text already in your source file.

  2. Set the document font

Choose the font family, size, and colour used by default for every field you place. Pick something close to the source document so filled values do not look pasted on.

  3. Override individual fields where needed

The document default is a starting point; a specific field can use its own font, size, or colour. Use this sparingly — a form with six typefaces looks worse than one with a single compromise.

  4. Check the paper size

Set the paper size for the composed output to match the source. A mismatch is what causes fields to drift or clip near the page edge.

  5. Preview a filled copy

Fill the fields yourself and look at the composed PDF, not the editor. Check anything near a margin, and check a long value in a short field.
