What people see when they open your chatbot
The chat experience, from the visitor’s side.

When to use this. You want to know the experience before sending the link, or a visitor says the chatbot behaved unexpectedly.
What you’ll need. A published chatbot, or the Test preview.
They open a link or your website
Visitors reach the chatbot from its public link, or from a chat on your page shown as a box, a popup, or a bubble. They do not need to sign in to chat.
The chatbot speaks first
Messages appear one after another with a short typing pause, at the speed you set in Settings. Images, video, audio, and embedded content appear inside the conversation.
They answer in the chat
Questions appear as text fields, buttons, ratings, date pickers, or file uploads. If an answer is not valid, the chatbot shows your retry message and asks again.
Their answers are kept as they go
Each answer is saved as it is given, even if the visitor never finishes. If Remember user is on, they can return and continue where they stopped, on the same device and browser.
Some links show a message instead
A chatbot you closed says “This bot is now closed.” An unpublished or mistyped link shows that the chatbot cannot be found. If you set allowed websites, the chatbot only runs on the websites you listed.
How to know it worked
You have chatted with your own chatbot as a visitor and seen each step they see.
