When to use this. You need to know which campaign, page, or partner produced each lead.

What you’ll need. A published form and the links you plan to distribute.

  1. Open hidden fields

In the form builder settings rail, choose Hidden fields. These are captured with every submission but never shown to the person filling the form in.

  2. Add a field and name it

Give each hidden field a name you will recognize in the submissions table and in any system you export to.

  3. Choose where the value comes from

A URL parameter reads a value from the link, which is how campaign tracking works — add a field reading utm_source and it captures whatever the incoming link carries. A static value stamps every submission with the same constant, useful for marking a site or channel. A form field copies a value from elsewhere in the form.

  4. Build the links you will share

Append the parameters to your public link, one distinct link per campaign, channel, or partner. Anything not present in the link simply arrives empty.

  5. Verify with a real submission

Open one of your campaign links, submit, and confirm the value landed. A mistyped parameter name fails silently, which is why this step matters.

How to know it worked

Submissions arrive tagged with their source, with nothing extra asked of the respondent.
