When to use this. You are running an assessment, a training check, or a scored qualification form.

What you’ll need. A form whose questions have definable correct answers.

  1. Turn on quiz mode

In the form builder settings rail, choose Enable Quiz. This turns the form into an assessment: answers carry point values and produce a score.

  2. Set the defaults first

Set a default question point value before marking up individual questions. Most questions are usually worth the same, and setting the default saves editing every one.

  3. Mark the correct answers

Go through the questions and set which answers are correct and what each is worth. Override the default point value only where a question genuinely carries more weight.

  4. Decide when grades are released

Release grades immediately after submission for self-assessment and practice. Choose release after manual review when a human needs to mark free-text answers, or when you do not want people comparing scores instantly.

  5. Choose what the respondent sees

Decide whether they see their total points and which questions they missed. Showing missed questions turns the quiz into a teaching tool; hiding them matters if you intend to reuse the questions.

  6. Take your own quiz

Submit it as a respondent in a private window. Check the score arithmetic and confirm the result appears when you intended, not before.

How to know it worked

A submitted quiz produces the score you expect, released at the moment you chose.
